Former Chilean President Sebastian Pinera dies in helicopter crash

Former two-time Chilean President Sebastián Piñera died in a helicopter crash, the federal government stated Tuesday afternoon.

In a nationwide deal with, Inside Minister Carolina Tohá stated Piñera was killed and three individuals escaped.

“President Piñera ruled us and we’ll keep in mind him for the way in which he devoted his life to public service,” Tohá stated, including that President Gabriel Boric ordered a state funeral and a interval of nationwide mourning.
