A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Division deputy shot and killed a person in East L.A. on Saturday night time, the division stated in a press release.
Deputies have been dispatched to a “individual with a gun” report within the Metropolis Terrace neighborhood round 9:30 p.m. “When the responding deputies arrived on scene, the suspect produced a handgun and a deputy-involved capturing occurred,” the division stated. “A duplicate firearm was recovered on the scene.”

The incident, described as a “enterprise disturbance,” occurred within the 3600 block of Pomeroy Road, a residential neighborhood dotted with small storefront companies. After the capturing, the county fireplace division pronounced the person lifeless on the scene. He was not recognized within the sheriff’s report.
The California Division of Justice will examine the capturing.
