L.A. Metro is providing free bus and practice rides to assist voters get to the polls for Tuesday’s California main election.
Polls open at 7 a.m. and shut at 8 p.m., however the free rides will proceed till midnight. Metro’s Board of Administrators voted in 2019 to completely provide free rides on all federal and statewide election days. “Voting is crucial to democracy and Metro encourages all eligible county residents to train their constitutional proper to vote,” they wrote in a press launch. “By providing free rides on Election Day, Metro is doing its half to encourage voter turnout and make it simpler for folks to journey to and from native polling locations.”
