Anderson, 33, is a pastor and group organizer. He served on the L.A. Redistricting Fee from 2020 to 2021, and serves on the advisory board of the Black Individuals Experiencing Homelessness Committee for L.A. County and the L.A. Homeless Companies Authority. He’s an organizer for nonprofits together with L.A. Voice and co-founded the Partnership for Progress L.A., a Black and Jewish group growth company. He graduated from Morehouse Faculty with a level in political science and authorities and has grasp’s levels from Claremont Faculty of Theology. Born in Atlanta, he lives in Mid-Metropolis along with his spouse.

Hutt, 64, is the council member representing District 10. Hutt, a longtime political staffer, was appointed because the interim alternative for former Councilmember Mark Ridley-Thomas, who was ousted from his seat and imprisoned in a bribery and fraud scheme. Jones-Sawyer, 67, is a Democratic California Meeting member from L.A. who lately served as chair of the Meeting Public Security Committee. He was assistant deputy mayor for the town, co-founded the state’s Congressional Progressive Caucus and has served in different authorities roles together with as director of actual property for L.A. Born in Little Rock, Ark., he moved to L.A. as a toddler and graduated from USC, receiving a level in public administration. He lives in Lafayette Sq. along with his sister and niece.

Vásquez, 45, is an environmental activist and small-business proprietor. She was a legislative aide for former Rep. Eliot L. Engel (D-N.Y.), an organizer for the Sierra Membership’s marketing campaign to finish L.A.’s reliance on coal, and director of local weather justice for the Middle for In style Democracy. She additionally served on the L.A. Division of Water and Energy’s board. Born in Colombia, Vásquez moved to New York when she was 18. She graduated from Metropolis College of New York’s Lehman Faculty with a level in political science and multicultural journalism. She lives close to Little Ethiopia.

Yoo, 52, is an lawyer, group advocate and former L.A. metropolis commissioner. She labored for former Riverside Mayor Ronald Loveridge, former California Treasurer Kathleen Brown and present U.S. Rep. Mark Takano (D-Riverside) when he first ran for a Home seat. She served as government director of the Korean American Coalition L.A. and the Nationwide Asian Pacific American Bar Assn. Born in South Korea, she graduated from UC Riverside with a level in political science and from Seton Corridor College Faculty of Legislation with a juris doctorate. She lives in Angeles Vista together with her octogenarian mother and father.
