A person suspected of punching a 6-year-old lady in Santa Monica was arrested Thursday in Venice on suspicion of assaulting one other little one, in accordance with the Los Angeles Police Division.
Los Angeles cops responded round 11:15 a.m. to the 1800 block of Ocean Entrance Stroll, the place a person described as homeless had allegedly assaulted a 7-year-old boy, in accordance with LAPD spokesman David Cuellar.
Cuellar stated the person, whose title was not launched, was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of the assault. The situation of the kid was unknown.
The incident comes solely days after police stated the person punched a 6-year-old lady as she was strolling together with her dad and mom in Santa Monica.
Lt. Erika Aklufi, a spokesperson with the Santa Monica Police Division, stated that incident occurred at 7 p.m. Sunday close to a bus bench at Major Road and Marine Avenue. She stated the lady was together with her dad and mom, strolling north on Major behind the bench, when the suspect spun round and punched the kid, inflicting her to fall.
Aklufi stated the kid was not critically injured.
The assault prompted Santa Monica Police Chief Ramon Batista to deploy its homeless liaison group, a bunch of cops and psychological well being clinicians who interact the unhoused, in addition to the therapeutic transport group, which responds to nonemergency calls within the metropolis.
