A person in his early 20s drowned Friday evening within the lake outdoors SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, authorities stated.
He was seen getting into the lake round 9:30 p.m. Friday and didn’t resurface, Inglewood Police Lt. Cilia Islas stated.
A dive workforce responded and instantly started a search and rescue effort. The person was discovered shortly earlier than 11 p.m., Islas stated. CPR was administered however he was pronounced lifeless on the scene, she stated.
Islas stated it’s believed to be an unintended drowning and the identification of the sufferer has not been launched.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
