The US plans to veto an Arab-sponsored decision that requires an instantaneous cease-fire in Gaza and the discharge of all hostages, in a U.N. Safety Council vote set for Tuesday. The US has circulated a draft decision calling for assist of a six-week pause in preventing and the phased launch of hostages, together with what it calls a “momentary ceasefire,” in a future vote.
