Tammy Murphy, New Jersey’s first woman, has ended her run for a U.S. Senate seat now held by the state’s embattled senior senator, Robert Menendez, she introduced on Sunday in a video posted to social media.
Ms. Murphy stated that she had concluded that persevering with to compete within the Democratic main in opposition to Consultant Andy Kim, a third-term congressman from South Jersey, would imply waging a “very divisive and unfavourable marketing campaign.”
